Respond soon to the 2020 Census

The 2020 Census currently is underway. You can respond online, by phone or by mail. It is important that everyone in the greater Tucson region is counted. A complete count leads to fair government representation, equitable distribution of public funds to important community programs and services, and accurate statistics that both the public and private sectors can use to make important decisions. These decisions can lead to new jobs, new businesses and placement of new roads, schools or housing.

Your responses to the census are kept confidential by law. Each household is required to complete the census form. Completing the 2020 form takes about 10 minutes. It’s worth your time for you and your community. Billions of dollars are at stake. Respond soon to shape your future.

The 2020 census form is now available online

You should have received an invitation in the mail to respond online, by phone or by mail. It’s your choice. If you complete your form by early May, census takers will only visit households that have not submitted a form. Complete one form per household and shape the future.

Thanks for participating in this mandatory count that leads to fair government representation, equitable public funding and accurate statistics that portray an updated snapshot of our nation. All personal information remains confidential.
