PAG conducts a bicycle and pedestrian count every fall, relying on the support of jurisdiction staff and community volunteers to count at approximately 80 locations through the entire region. PAG began the program in 2008 to:

  • Better understand trends/characteristics of cyclists by collecting data on: direction of travel, gender, age, helmet usage, sidewalk riding and wrong-way riding
  • Help evaluate planning efforts
  • Help guide investments
